Your car's safety and roadworthiness are dependent on the “safety triangle,” consisting of the vehicle's ‘stopping, steering and stability' capabilities. The suspension and shock absorbers are not just there to give you a smooth ride, they are integral for the correct operation of these three critical capabilities, therefore keeping you, your passengers and other road users safe. Regular servicing and maintenance can help to prevent problems, but if you notice anything amiss, contact us ASAP to get it checked out with the following bonuses; Top Quality: As a part of the Repco Authorised Service Centre network all work we perform is backed by the Repco Nationwide Warranty. The Right Parts: Our mechanics are kept up to date on all the latest parts thanks to regular service bulletins. Additionally, we have access to the Repco spare parts network which means we can find you the right part at the right price. The Best Team: Our mechanics are well versed in many different makes and models. From a fleet of vehicles to the family car, we are here for you. An important part of keeping all aspects of your vehicle working properly is to stick to your Log Book servicing schedule However, if you notice any of the following symptoms you should get your vehicle checked out as soon as possible; Steering Wheel Vibration or Pulsation Nose diving and swerving - bonnet dips when braking or slowing down Car veers in side winds Car rocks and rolls over bumps and doesn't hug bends when cornering Uneven tyre wear Makes a rattling noise Clunking over bumps Bouncing, dipping and diving Our suspension and shock absorber services include inspection, diagnosis, repairs and replacements so we'll have your car fixed and back on the road time. Don't delay, book today. Some of your suspension systems' important parts include; Springs - Springs are designed to absorb energy and there are several different types including leaf, coil, torsion bar or air assisted springs. The springs on different types of cars will be set up to different levels. Luxury cars, for example, may have soft springs to produce a smoother ride but this results in more body movement when the car brakes and corners. Sports cars, on the other hand, tend to have tighter springs which allow for more aggressive driving, including around corners, but also mean a less smooth ride. Shock absorbers - These dissipate the energy absorbed by the springs. The car would not work properly without the shock absorbers because the springs would cause it to bounce up and down when you go over a bump rather than absorb that bump. Strut - This is a shock absorber mounted inside a coil spring. Struts do the job of the springs and shock absorbers plus provide additional structural support for the suspension system. Anti-sway bar - The anti-sway bar spans the width of the axle and joins the two sides of the suspension together to provide stability to the car while it is moving. Engines that operate through internal combustion rely on large amounts of clean air to ensure the fuel burns properly and generates the power needed to drive the vehicle. At Rozelle Automotive in Rozelle, we understand how vital it is to keep your car's air filter in good condition as part of protecting your engine's health. Your engine requires extremely clean air to function efficiently. Dirt, dust, and other particles entering the engine can cause serious damage. That’s where the air filter comes into play. It ensures the air entering the combustion chambers is clean, shielding key engine components such as the pistons and cylinders from wear and damage. Why Replace Your Air Filter? Save on Fuel Costs: Your engine requires the correct balance of fuel and air to run efficiently. A clogged air filter restricts airflow, causing your engine to run inefficiently – often referred to as ‘running rich.’ This not only puts additional stress on your engine but can also increase fuel consumption by up to 10%. No one likes spending more on petrol than necessary! Protect Your Engine: Over time, air filters become clogged and weaker, increasing the risk of damage. A damaged or overly dirty air filter can allow harmful particles to enter the engine, potentially leading to expensive repairs. Benefits of Replacing Your Air Filter: Extends the life of your engine Improves fuel efficiency Reduces vehicle emissions At Rozelle Automotive, we always check the condition of your air filter during every full car service. Whether it’s a major or minor service, or one that follows your manufacturer’s handbook or logbook guidelines, you can trust us to keep your engine running smoothly.

Keep your engine healthy with clean air filters. Improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and extend engine life. Visit Rozelle Automotive for expert maintenance and reliable car servicing.

The owner of a 2018 Toyota Corolla recently brought their vehicle into Rozelle Automotive for its scheduled log book service. With over 45,000 km on the odometer, the Corolla was due for its mid-life maintenance check — a crucial interval set by Toyota for optimal performance and reliability. Log book servicing follows the manufacturer’s maintenance plan, ensuring all prescribed checks and replacements are performed at the recommended mileage or time intervals. Unlike generic servicing, a log book service preserves the vehicle’s warranty and resale value. What We Did Our certified technicians completed the following during the log book service: Comprehensive Multi-Point Inspection We inspected vehicle systems including: Brakes and suspension Steering components Exhaust system Drive belts and hoses Fluid levels and leak checks Engine Oil & Filter Replacement Fresh engine oil and a new oil filter were installed to ensure efficient lubrication, reduce engine wear, and maintain fuel economy. Fluid Top-ups and Replacement Coolant level checked and topped up Brake fluid condition assessed Transmission fluid inspected (as per recommended schedule) Air & Cabin Filter Change New engine air filter and cabin filter were fitted to improve engine performance and cabin air quality. Tyre Safety Checks Tyres were examined for tread wear and correct pressure, including rotation where necessary for even tyre life. Diagnostic & Road Test A full diagnostic scan was completed to identify any electronic or fault codes. Following this, a road test ensured the Corolla drove as expected without warning lights or performance issues. Why Log Book Servicing is Important Vehicles like the Toyota Corolla are engineered with specific maintenance needs. Following the log book service schedule: Prevents Costly Repairs – Early detection of wear prevents expensive fixes later. Ensures Optimal Performance – Keeping systems serviced means the car runs smoothly. Protects Warranty Coverage – Skipping scheduled services can void warranty claims. Supports Safety – Regular checks ensure that brakes, tyres, lights and steering are in top condition. Manufacturers design service intervals based on real-world operating conditions and component life. Adhering to them isn’t optional — it’s smart ownership. Regular log book servicing isn’t just about ticking boxes — it’s about extending the life of your car, protecting your investment, and ensuring safety and reliability every time you drive. At Rozelle Automotive, we specialise in manufacturer-compliant log book servicing for all makes and models, using quality parts and certified technicians you can trust. Book your next log book service with us today and keep your vehicle performing at its best!
